Strengths and weakness of our student(Gabriela Orellana)
I
really like that Reading because it is very interesting. It is about the
motivation in the students, they must become aware that learning depend on
them, Students should recognize their strengths and weaknesses. Also, I like
when one student stated: I can improve every day if I practice; or if I effort
myself, because When the student has a goal, they can achieve it. Moreover, Teachers can benefit greatly from
technological advances to make their work more attractive and to be more
efficient. Besides, Technology is very useful for students because they can
practice their skills with the purpose of improving it. Reading has a purpose
for students to do their self-assessment but to evaluate oneself is not easy,
on the contrary, it is very complicated because you have to recognize the
mistakes and work so that they do not happen again. Discovering what the areas
to be improved are might a challenged for the students, In my opinion teachers
should motivate the student to be successful because sometimes students do not
have motivation of their family. They feel alone, and sometimes, the teacher
must be a lot of roles in the life of the students What do you think?
I agree with you my friend because the teacher should motivated the student.The technology takes over with more fluidyly of the world giving us daily new project for the benefic of humanity.

ResponderBorrarAs you explained before I consider that teachers should engage students through demanding activities and promote self-evaluation and self-monitoring to help them get to know themselves as learners. This way, academic development is more likely to occur,specifically in the area of language learning. For instance, Chuk (2003) reports on meta cognition carried out through exploratory practice where students’ engagement was evaluated following Sinclair’s framework.
ResponderBorrarOne option to motivate students is implementing more meaningful activities,such as vocabulary games, learning parts of the speech, prefixes, suffixes, and guessing meaning from context. Students reported that these were very useful since they can “develop the ability to think faster,” look for different possibilities to convey meaning, play with the language, go beyond translation and fixed structures, and see the language from a more realistic perspective.
I agree with you because it is important that students get awere and be responsable with their learning. Students learn better if they effort a Little bit more, and if they practice constantly they will be better in the área they are studying. Moreover, technological tolos helps a lot for teachers because they have the opportunity to encourage students to work with technology, but using it in the correct way. So, they can have a meaningful learning.For example, Andrade (2011) think that technology can be a “force multiplier” for the teacher. Instead of the teacher being the only source of help in a classroom, students can access web sites, online tutorials, and more to assist them. In this way students have the opportunity to learn in a dynamic way.
ResponderBorrarI consider that teachers have to motivate students in their process of learning a second language as you mention before. Also, I agree when you explain that the learning depends also in the students because they have the capacity to find out new ways to learn more and and feel free to practice any kind of activity that she or he wants. Technology can help a lot to students because in the internet there are a lot of exercises which can improve the students' learning and teachers have the role to use this tools to motivate the students to work by themselves. For example, Ying (2002) demonstrates that infusing technology in the classroom may significantly contribute to the growth in learners' motivation, autonomy and thinking skills. To conclude, teachers can implement the use of technology in the classroom to help the students to be autonomy and to develop all the skills.
